USO San Diego Thanksgiving Feast
On Thanksgiving Day, November 22 at 12:00 pm the USO’s Downtown location (303 A Street, Downtown San Diego) will be serving a traditional Thanksgiving Feast with all the trimmings. December 4, 6, & 8, 2012 – USO Downtown Center USO San Diego’s annual Santa Store is an opportunity for active duty children to come and receive a delicious meal, get a photo with Santa, a gift from Santa’s sack, pick out a gift for mom and dad or guardians, and also have their special gift wrapped before they go home. This event gives a wonderful holiday memory to the children of active duty military, many whom are not only separated from their loved ones during the holidays, but who have experienced multiple deployments of their mother/father and in some cases, both parents. San Diego Armed Services YMCA Holiday Programs Overview
A non-profit serving 6,000 San Diego military families a month with over 40 absolutely free family bonding and social networking programs. For more details visit: www.militaryymca.com.

Toys for Tots
Toys for Tots will collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December, and distribute these toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community. To request toys for your children or to donate toys, visit their web site at http://san-diego-ca.toysfortots.org/. IA Family Zoo Event
IA Families are invited to enter the lottery to win a day at the San Diego Zoo on December 9 from 9:00AM – 2:00PM to experience all the excitement and animals they have to offer. Lottery begins Monday, November 12 at 8:30AM and ends Monday, November 26 at 12:00PM. To enter the lottery, contact: asadorf@lpsi.com.

MWR Family Holiday Party

Holiday Sports Week
Encourage your command to join in softball, basketball, and flag football tournaments during the week of November 5-9 at Admiral Prout Field House, Bldg 3279 (NBSD). Games played at 5:15, 6:15, and 7:15PM. Please call 619-556-7444 to register. Deadline to register is October 31.
